Born and raised in Turkey, Şevval is a trilingual, Paris-based womenswear designer. After completing her formal education in fashion design at Istanbul Bilgi University, Şevval Büyükkapucu embarked on a journey to explore the intersections of tradition and modernity of women's fashion in Paris. Her design philosophy is rooted in a commitment to craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a dedication to creating garments that empower women to feel confident and express their individuality. Throughout her studies at Parsons Paris, she partook in brand collaborations such as Parsons Paris X MM6 and Parsons Paris X CAMPERLAB. This allowed her the possibility of working with fabric as well as leather, moreover emphasizing an adaptable yet solid design identity. As an individual whose constant mindset is to challenge yesterday and enhance the future, her goal is to keep on working in positions of fashion design.
